Show W ILDCATS NET WIN The Weber State Wildcats improved their record to 4 wins and 1 loss with a 31-10 victory over Puget Sound Saturday in Ogden. Curt Miller equalled Randy Jordan's career touchdown record of 12 when he hauled in a 19 yard scoring strike from Milt Myers early in the third quarter. Miller broke the mark when he made an over-the-shoulder catch of a 4 yard Myers' touchdown lob in the left corner of the end zone for his 13th scoring reception as a Wildcat. The touchdown gave Weber a 31-3 lead. Kelvin Matthews scored a touchdown touch-down on a 8-yard run as Weber erupted for 21 points in the third quarter. Weber gained a 3-0 lead on a 23 yard field goal by Roger Ruzek early in the first quarter. Scott Zellmer captured a seven yard touchdown pass with 58 seconds left and the Wildcats were successful on the extra point kick which gave Weber a 10-3 lead at the end of the first half. |
