Show Treatment plant approved The Central Utah Water Conservancy District board of directors approved an agreement Thursday of last week to build a $10 million treatment plant north of Vernal. The plant would treat water from the Jensen and Vernal units of the Central Utah Project, district manager Lynn Ludlow said. The plant is being built by an agreement with the Uintah Water Conservancy District, sponsor of the two CUP units. Under the agreement, the Central Utah district will be responsible for the plant. The agreement says that Uintah district will pay the Central Utah district $1 per acre foot of water treated at the plant. The plant could treat water from Red Fleet, Ashley Springs, Dry Fork and Steinaker for Vernal City. |
