Show LDS Ashley Stake to hold conference Members of the LDS Vernal Utah Ashley Stake will be attending Stake Conference this weekend presided by Elder Angel Abrea. The first session of conference will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. All members 12 years and over are invited. Sunday's conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a meeting for members of ward and stake welfare committees and priesthood leaders. General sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m. There will be no junior primary during conference. con-ference. Elder Abrea, who will preside at all sessions of conference, was named a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4. 1981. He will be president of the church's soon-to-be built temple in Argentina. A native of Buenos Aires, he is the first Argentine to become one of the General Authorities of the church. Before accepting a call as president of the Argentina Rosario Mission, he was employed as a certified public accountant by Deloittee, Haskins and Sells in Buenos Aires. He is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires. His civic activities include service as Secretary of the Treasury in the city of San Miguel. General Sarmiento Department.
