Show Uintah FFA celebrates national week Members of the Uintah Chapter Future Farmers of America join members from all over the United States in celebrating National FFA Week which started Feb. 18 and goes through Feb. 22. This year's theme is "Planning for Progress." And that is what Vocational Agriculture and the FFA is all about. It is preparing young men and women in vocational agriculture classes with the skills they will need for careers in agriculture an industry at the heartbeat heart-beat of the world. During this week different activities are planned. The Food for America program pro-gram will be started at this time and then continue on the rest of the year. This program explains to elementary students the importance the farmer plays in providing Food for America. Also there will be a window display downtown, short radio programs and other various activities held at the Vocational Agriculture building. This year's officers are: president, David Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cook; vice president, Vance Merrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Merrell; secretary, Kelly Reynolds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reynolds; treasurer, Monte Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Morris; reporter, Dana Murray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Murray; Morgan Batty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Batty; advisor, Mr. Guy Denton. m'Mm- - - i. - -r .
