Show Public employees Dear Sir: In reply to J. Wayland Mattsson I would like to say that I am sure many of my friends, both school teachers and public employees, will join me in challenging Mr. Mattsson to a series of intelligence tests. I resent his insinuations in-sinuations that we lack intelligence, do not work hard, and make so much money. A report taken from a publication of the U.S. Department of Commerce entitled "Public Employment 1978" shows that of the 13 Western States, Utah has fewer public employees per 10, MO population than the others. Inflation is affecting everyone, even public employees. Official statistics show that since 1975 Utah Public Employees' purchasing power has decreased 15.7 percent. We appreciate the support we received from Senator Glarte Sowards and Representative Gayle McKeachnic in the last legislative session.
