Show Ruth Haslem returns home from Colorado TOO LATE FOR LAST WEEK Joe Haslem traveled to Steamboat Springs, Colorado this week to bring his wife, Ruth, home. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Ainge from Rangely, Colorado were overnight guests of Mart Peterson. Marba then went with her daughter-in-law, Vicky Ainge, to take her tiny son to Salt Lake City to have a medical checkup. Much effort was put into the success of the Sweetheart Ball, that was held in the Jensen Ward cultural hall from 8 to 11 p.m., Feb. 16. Michclc Moon was four years old this week and she had a birthday party with a number of boys and girls to help her celebrate it. Her grandmother, Bonnie Moon hosted the party. Sunday Sacrament meeting was dedicated to the Scouting program. February is the honorary month of the founding of Scouts. The speakers were George Turner, Cub Master; Reita Ruppe, Den Mother; Tina Turner, Blazer B. Leader; Byron Tolman, Scoutmaster; and Greg Morrill, an Eagle Scout. All the speakers emphasized em-phasized how important the Scouting program is to our lxys, age 8 years old and up, and to our community. In attendance to hear Greg talk was his grandmother Morrill from Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Stewart also from Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Perry and children, Mr. and Mrs. Alicgglen, Mrs, Oldson, aunlH and uncles of Greg Morrill, |
