Show 0 Water supply outlook good The water supply outlook for the Uintah Basin and Daggett Soil Conservation Con-servation Districts on February 1, ranges from near average to above average, according to the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service and the Utah State Dept. of Natural Resources. Snow cover has improved greatly and ranges from 137 percent on Ashley Creek to 157 percent on Uintah-Whiterocks Uintah-Whiterocks drainages. Lakefork-Yellowstone Lakefork-Yellowstone Creeks are 153 percent and Strawberry River is 15Q percent. Precipitation at mountain stations for January ranges from 138 percent at Burnt Creek to 349 percent at Mosby Mountain. Soil moisture in generally below average. Reservoir storage is below average with Steinaker 66 percent, Moon Lake 44 percent and Starvation 32 percent. Streamflow forecasts range from 93 percent of average on Henry's Fork to 172 percent for the Duchesne at Myton. The Duchesne is forecast 148 percent at Tabiona, 144 percent at Duchese and 159 at Randlett. Currant Creek is forecast 105 percent, Rock Creek 126 percent, Lakefork 103 percent, Yellowstone 98 percent, Uintah 107 percent, Whiterocks 102 percent, Ashley Creek 116 percent and Blacks Fork 110 percent. Most water users are expected to have adequate water supplies this season. Some may have reduced supplies on reservoir storage only if reservoirs do not fill as runoff progresses this spring, according to the forecast. |
