Show f Manila Clara Robinson Phone 784-3463 Home Ec. judging clinic held At 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, Denise Ham Sweetwater County demonstrationist, demonstra-tionist, conducted a Home Economics judging clinic at the Manila High Schoo for McKinnon and Manila 4-H members. Instruction for judging was to help girls to judge more intelligently when entering contest, was given first. This was followed by a contest. This was on judging a menu and I cook.es. The girls gave reasons on both classes. Guests for the judging were Deana Mitchell Mit-chell and Samantha Nunley. Mrs Fred Weeks and her new baby who have had medical attention in Vernal Ver-nal are reported doing better now, but will not be home for a few days. Mrs. Tom Cook returned home last week following surgery, but did not stay Tong She went to the oil camP where they are employed. She is reported doing very well. Mrs Elsie Twitchell returned from thtah County hospital on Wednesday afternoon but became ill and was returned t'o the hospital Saturday even-ing. even-ing. Those attending the wedding reception recep-tion of Stephen Peel at the home of Sop Don Rock (bridej home, ,n William Briggs, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Burl Twitchell, and Mrs. Duane Lamb. The couple was married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 20. Stephen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel of Rangely formerly of Manila. Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam Robinson and granddaughter Samantha Nunley were in Vernal, on business Tuesday and then drove to Roosevelt to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Haslem and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. William Briggs have received the announcement of Stephen Max Lemon's marriage in the Oakland LDS Temple on June 14. Stephen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Lemon of Sonora, Calif. Max Lemon was formerly former-ly science teacher at Manila High School. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Briggs attended the wedding reception of Gene's niece Cynthia Briggs in Hyrum, Utah on June 14. Cynthia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Briggs of Selah, Washington. She became the bride of Lynn Lindley in Hyrum on June 11. Another reception was given in Washington for the couple Mr. and Mrs. William Robinson attended at-tended the wedding and reception of their granddaughter Jill Holden Friday Fri-day June 20. Jill is the daughter of Art Robinson of Rock Springs and Mrs Claire Holden of Santaquin, Utah. Jill became the bride of John Hastert of Rock Springs in Green River at 5 p.m. A reception was held at the home of her father in Rock Springs after the wedding. wed-ding. Mr and Mrs. George Olson and children will be spending the summer at the Olson ranch. Mrs Patrick Lamber and children have left for Colo, where Mrs. Lambert will be attending two sessions of sum- |
