Show MAPCO pipeline hearings The Bureau of Land Mangement has received 78 comments from the public and industry on the draft environmental vim-pact vim-pact statement for the proposed 1172-mile MAP-CO MAP-CO Rocky Mountain Liquid Li-quid Hydrocarbons Pipeline. The pipeline would transport up to 65,000 barrels bar-rels of butane, ethane, natural gasoline and other petroleum products per day from the Over-thrust Over-thrust Belt of Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico to existing pipeline systems originating near Seminole, Texas. Many of the comments were on the Wyoming segment of the proposal and the Pine Mountain (Wyoming) alternative. Because of the public interest in-terest in this area, the BLM state director in New Mexico is reevaluating re-evaluating the alternate routes. All comments will be addressed in the final environmental en-vironmental statement (ES), which will be issued in July. Following the final ES, a decision will be made on the actual right-of-way and permission permis-sion would then be given to MAPCO to begin construction. |
