Show Cubs ready for day camp June 28 The District Cub Day Camp will be at the park next to the Vernal Swimming Swim-ming Pool June 28 at 8 a.m. for all 8, 9, and 10 year-old Cub Scouts. Activities will be swimming, swim-ming, archery, BB gun shoot, crafts, nature hikes and rope swing. The Arctic Circle will provide punch for the noon meal. Cubs will need to bring a sack lunch plus a swimming suit and towel. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a tri-stake run-off for the physical fitness contest. con-test. Each stake will send one team of an 8, 9, and 10 year-old cub to compete in Cedar City, Utah. For further information call Alta Winward, 7119-2134. July 24 will be the Annual Scout Breakfast, and the cubs will have a special event this year. Registration Registra-tion will be at 10:30 a.m. and the derby for the Cub-mobiles Cub-mobiles will begin at 11 a.m. at the Ashley Stake Parking lot. Each den is to make one or more cars to use at the pack meetings. Each unit will then bring their best car and a two-cub-team July 24. The two-cub-starting ramp will be available from Anita Nokes, 789-28 after July 5. A small fee will be charged for each rental. Trophies, riblxms, and certificates wil be given by the District. |
