That's a high standard, but it's the goal that has been set by Sheldon Hansen and his entire sales and service team. Attainment of Hat goal was the main reason cited by Sheldon Hansen recently for moving bis Chevrolet dealership to Ibe spacious, modern facilities offered at their new home at 1115 S. Carbon Ave, in Price. Sheldon is no newcomer to retail auto sales. His experience began back in Ibe late '50's when he first began helping in the service department of his father's wto dealerships in Idaho indBrigham City. After an 8 year service apprenticeship, ap-prenticeship, he graduated to the sales floor and since has marked up 16 years in auto sales, including 2 years as manager of his father's Brigham City dealership, K.V. Hansen Chevrolet-Oldsmobile. Chevrolet-Oldsmobile. Sheldon came to Price in 1968 when he bought out the Redd Motor Co. and has found a home in the Carbon area. Sheldon's activities are not confined to, his business. Since coming to Price, he has been involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, was president for 5 years of the Carbon County Auto Dealers Association, and is completing his fourth year as a member of the Chevrolet Dealer Planning Committee, a joint factory-sales factory-sales outlet panel. He is also a graduate of the University of Utah in business and finance and of the General Motors Dealer School. He and his wife, Carol, live in Price and are the parents of three children; Cynthia, Michelle and Jeffrey. Body and painf is important Customers rarely think of the quality of a dealership's body and paint shop when considering a new car or truck purchase but are glad if they chose the right one when body and paint services are needed. That's the case with Sheldon Hansen's customers when they deal with body and paint shop manager Jack Prettyman and his crew. Prettyman, who just joined the Sheldon Hansen staff, gained his body and paint experience in a Salt Lake custom shop of which he was manager for a year and a half. He is the father of three children and is currently looking with his wife, Trisha, for a home in the area. He said his new paint and body department will offer the customer the best in prompt and complete work. |
