Show S. L. AUDITORIUM DRIVE LAUNCHED Mayor Asks Inquiry as to Financing Pointing out that Salt Lake City "has lost a considerable number" of large conventions because it lacks adequate meeting accommodations for large assemblies,- Mayor E. B. Erwin on Tuesday again urged a thorough investigation to determine meana of financing construction of a municipal auditorium. In personal letters to the members, mem-bers, he appointed the following committee: City Auditor Samuel F. Nicholls. Aasistsnt City Attorney Gerald Irvine, City Engineer W. D. Beers and City Commissioner Wil-lism Wil-lism Murdoch. The committee wss requested to investigate finances for undertaking undertak-ing a municipal auditorium. Commissioner Com-missioner Murdoch was designated by the letter as chairman. |
