Show BOARD TO FACE STATEAUDITOR Officials to Confer on Farm Loans Check The stats land board, for which a grand Jury Investigation wss sought in an audit last week, will face its accuser November 18. 8tate Auditor John W. Guy said Tuesday that, on that date, he and R. R. Carey, accountant who made the audit of the board's bond dealings, deal-ings, will meet with the board. "We will confer with the board on the second phsss of the audit," Mr. Guy said. The second phase, dealing with farm loans, is nearing completion. The first phase, covering bond transactions, contained a recommendation recom-mendation by Mr. Carey for a grand jury Investigation of the transactions, transac-tions, some of which, the audit report re-port charged, were "financed by the board wtih profits going to the broker." The board met In executive session ses-sion after it received the audit last Thursday, but officially ignored the grand jury recommendations, announcing an-nouncing no action would be taken before the November 18 meeting. Mr. Guy said the third and final phase of the audit, to review all affairs of the board, will be finished within six months. |
