Show City Power Plant Referendum Requested by Voters in Ogden Citizens to Circulate Petitions to Sound Sentiment on Revised Contract Special to The Telegram OGDEN, Feb. 18 A petition asking for a referendum at the municipal election November 2 on the proposed construction of municipal power plant will be circulated in Ogden a a result ot a nreliminarr oetition filed with the city recorder, signed by 12 residents. Tha petition calls for a vota on tha revised city ordinance and amended agreement for construction construc-tion of a power plant recently entered en-tered into by tha city commission with A. C. Todd. Tha revision in th agreement and ordinance were made in answer to objection filed In th (upreme court by th Utah Power and Light company com-pany which obtained an alternative writ of prohibition and a writ of certiorari. The power company filed It brief with the supreme court January 13 and tha city wiU file iU brief ia a few days. |
