Show AUTO DISPUTE -PARLEYJPENS DETROIT, Feb. 16 (INS) The collective bargaining conference between be-tween th United Auto Workers' union and th General Motor corporation cor-poration etarted behind locked door today with th union announcing it will fight to represent all G. M. workers. In the settlement pack last week, which ended the (44.000,000 strike, the union was granted the right to represent G. M. workers to the extent ex-tent of Its membership in 17 plants closed by strikes. Today, John Brophy, C. L O. official of-ficial representing John L. Lewis, declared the union will not drop Its original demands to be the sole agent, not only In the IT etrlke-cloeed etrlke-cloeed plants, but in all factories of G. M.'s far-flung chain. |
