Show PI BETA PHI MOTHERS' GROUP ? c ENTERTAINS FOR NEWCOMERS i By PAT PATTERSON I New pledge mothers of PI Beta Phi Mothers' club were the honored guests at a tea given Mendss sftes I noon by the active mothers at the chapter house, M South Wolcott avenue. A lovely color scheme of red and whit was featured In the decorations. The serving table was covered with a white eutwork doth and was lighted with red tapers In silver holders. A large mound of red tulips, fuschia, and white carnations car-nations centered the table, which was presided over by Mrs. E. R. Murphy and Mrs. 8. H. Besley. Hostesses for the day Included Mrs. J. A. Hooper, Mrs. L. Morten-son, Morten-son, Mrs. T. Fred Hardy, Mrs. Leroy Smith, Mrs. W. & Smith and Mrs. R. K. Cobb. Honored guests were Mrs. 8. . Felt, Mrs. H. D. Moyle, Mrs. R. Orlob, Mrs. O. J. Hyde, Mrs. Lynn Thorn Daon. Mrs. L. F. Whltlock, Fisher and Miss Louis Snow. A breakfast was given Sunday morning by active members of Alpha-Delta Pi sorority In honor of the newly initiated members. Miss Jean - Parker -and Miss Mildred Hardaety. The affair was given at the chapter bouse, TO Wolcott avenue. ave-nue. The long table was centered with a red heart-shaped box filled with valentines, each one of which was attached to a red satin ribbon that extended from the centerpiece to the place card of each guest, Miss Joanna Ivory was chairman, assisted by Miss Beverly Stoner, Miss Roberta Nasbltt and Miss Mar-Jorie Mar-Jorie Carruthers. PI Beta Phi members were host-uses host-uses at a tea given Sunday afternoon after-noon at the chapter house, M South Wolcott avenue, in honor of newly pledged members of all sororities on the campus. The serving table was decorated with centerpiece assisted by Mrs. R. C Green, Mrs. Agnes Dugan and Mrs. P. i. C Carroll. A cleverly arranged epea house was given Sunday evening by Delta Delta Delta sorority members at the chapter house, 1481 East First South street. In honor of all sorority and fraternity members on ths university uni-versity campus. A mase of white gas balloons with ths Greek letters of ths organisations painted on them In red, covered the calling. Extending from the balloons were red hearts In various sisee attached to long braids of red satin ribbon. of red and white carnations in a long whits basket to which were attached red ribbons and hearts. Red princess tapers la silver holders lighted the Uble. Miss Barbara Cheney, Mlas Dorothy Doro-thy Pain, Miss Margaret Boud and Miss Ruth Morris presided at ths tea table. Miss Robenla Hooper was In charge, assisted by Miss Beverly Brown, Miss Jan Davis and Miss R,.fh hi. A bridge luncheon was given Tuesday at 1:80 p. m. by Sigma Nu Mothers' club at the chapter house, S South Wolcott avenue. Mrs. Lewis M. Knight wss chairman. Red and whits lights played upon the balcony, which was decorated with balloons and hearts. Ths serving table was centered with a large silver basket of red and whits spicy carnations combined with fern, and was lighted with similar colored candle in silver holders.
