CANAL BRIDGE VORKTO OPEN OGDEN Construction of 2 bridges over Irrigation canals which cut across city streets will begin be-gin within a month, it was announced an-nounced Monday by George O'Connor, O'Con-nor, city commissioner In charge of the streets department. W P A fund, la the extant, of 111110 are available for the bridges and the city will put up $3000. Details of the project are now being be-ing worked out by Fred Carr Jr., W P A engineer for Weber county. Bids for the purchase of a new cement mixer will be called for by the eity upon recommendation of Commissioner O'Connor. The bids will be opened Thursdsy at 10 a. m. Mr. O'Connor Informed the com-mission com-mission that ths pressnt equipment is nearly seven years old and that a more efficient machine Is now needed, in view ef the bridge projects.
