Show WILD LIFE WEEK CONCLUDED Under direction of President Reed Rigtrup of the local sportsmen's sports-men's association, a successful observance of National Wild Life week was concluded with a dance Saturday night, at Memorial hall. Also during- the week, eighty sheets of wildlife stamps were sold, the proceeds to go to the national, state and to the local associations to facilitate work in wildlife conservation. At a recent meeting of directors direc-tors of the local association, two major projects on which the local lo-cal group will concentate theft efforts ef-forts this year, were outlined. It was proposed that arrangements be made to raise feed for ducks and pheasants, and that plans be initiated for construction of a clubhouse. To carry out the fh'st project, land must be secured and other details arranged in the very near future. For the second, a proposed site was suggested near the foothills foot-hills east of the state fish and game farm, so that a shooting gallery and other arrangements in connection with the club house might be carried out. Work is expected ex-pected to begin soon on plans for both projects, President Rvgtmp reported. |
