Show Four Buildings Burned Down Sn . Fire at Goshen A rampaging blaze, which started start-ed in a crepe paper decorated dance hall, wiped out the theaLer, barber shop, pool hall, dance hall and confectionery at Goshen Saturday Sat-urday night. Fire Chief Frank Schaerrer of the Payson fire department, cabled cabl-ed to extinguish the flames, estimated esti-mated loss at $20,000. The interior of the dance hall, being heated for a Saturday night dance, was ablaze when the fire was discovered. Goshen's voluntary volun-tary fire department was striving striv-ing vainly to stop the spreading flames when the Payson department depart-ment arrived. Pumping water from an irrigation irriga-tion ditch, Payson fi rem en concentrated con-centrated on saving the city hall on one side and the post office on the other side of the flaming block. |
