Show Mammoth Easter Pageant at Zion ST. GEORGE Plans for the annual Zion Easter Pageant are progressing- rapidly, reports Henry E. Petersen, general chairman. Preparation of the grounds and addition of extra comfort facilities facili-ties started this week under the direction of Paul R. Franke, superintendent su-perintendent of Zion National park, according to Mr. Petersen. Improvements in the acoustics and broadcasting setup are being made, in addition to installing additional ad-ditional drinking fountains, toilet facilities, etc. Six microphones ; and amplifying devices hooked into a regular sound truck will offer a great improvement, it is believed. Grant H. Redford, author-director, states that rehearsals are being be-ing held regularly and the response re-sponse this year is unusually gratifying. Musicians at both the Branch Agricultural college and Dixie college are giving considerable time to development of the musical musi-cal program. Earl J. Bleak, St. George, will toe trumpet soloist again this year. Mrs. Hazel Granger, Salt Lake City, will sing the contralto solo. The pageant will be preceded by an organ recital by Seldon N. 1 Heaps. The pageant proper will start at 5:40 p. m. |
