Show Survey Reveals Big Contribution of Chain Stores SALT LAKE CITY, March 24 (l:.D Chain stores are contributing contribu-ting an estimated $27,000,000 annually an-nually to Utah's economic welfare, with approximately $16,600,000 of the total going to agriculture and industry in the purchase of the state s farm and factory products, a nationwide trade association survey sur-vey has disclosed. The report pointed out that the total represents an estimated expenditure ex-penditure of nearly $51 for every resident of the state. According to the survey, the annual chain store, payroll in Utah amounts to $1,000,000 and 5300 persons in the state are employed in full or pai't time employment by chain stores. |
