Show Birch Relased In Tintic Stake EUREKA Following 22 years of service as president of the Tintic L. D. S. stake, E. F. Birch. Eureka, announced today he will retire at the quarterly conference April 2. j ; Mr. Birch was selected president j of tile Tintic stake when it was I organized in 1917, prior to which ! time he had been bishop of the i Silver City ward five years. He i had fulfilled an L. D. S. mission j in the eastern states for two years, i serving as district president and j mission secretary. .., j j Prominent in mining activities,, j Mr. Birch was general manager of i the Jesse Knight mining interests I in the interests in the Tintic district dis-trict during much of the time the Knight Investment company operated oper-ated here.
