Show T Orchestra to Play Concert in S. L Tabernacle As a part of the final and Sunday Sun-day evening session, April 9, of the 109th annual L. D. S. conference con-ference in Salt Lake tabernacle, which is to be under the direction of the church General Sunday school board, Brigham Young university uni-versity symphony orchestra has been i'.ivited to participate, according accord-ing to word received by Dr. Gerrit de Jong, Jr., dean of the college of fine arts. Drj de Jong is also a member of the General Sunday school board. The symphony orchestra, under the direction of Professor LeRoy J. Robertson, will play two numbers num-bers on a cantata-like program with an Easter theme. Five other numbers will also be played in conjunction with a choir and the oi'gan. On the morning of April 9, the orchestra and B. Y. U. mixed chorus will be heard on an international inter-national Easter broadcast through Columbia broadcasting system, originating or-iginating in College hall. |
