Westfall spent last weekend week-end with her parents at Sterling. Her sister, Florence, returned with her for a few days' visit. A meeting of the superintendents of all the different departments of the W. C. T. U. was held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. W. E. Davidson. Work for tbe winter was outlined. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Heitman went by auto to Salt Lake last w-eek to visit friends and relatives. Mrs. M. Lottis accompanied them. Miss Ida Queen if Illinois, who has been visiting her brother in Mohrland, has accepted ac-cepted a position as teacher in independent indepen-dent district No. 54 and began her school last week. A large number of Aberdeen young people attended the dance at American Falls on Wednesday evening. Miss Ethel Partner has returned to her music studies in Rocky Ford. Colo., after spending the summer vacation at her home in this city. Mrs. F. E. Wede! entertained a few intimate friends Monday evening in honor of John Heer, a returned soldier. The f i e courses were served &i different homes and arranged to represent rep-resent differeii L places. The first course, which was served at the chapter house, represented rep-resented the Klondike. From Klondike the guests went to Lg vpt for the second course, which was served at the liupie of Mrs. H. H. .McGee. The centerpiece for the table was a sphinx, from which extended brilliautly colored ribbons to each plate, a ttached to a miniature minia-ture pyramid as a favor. Miss Mary Dalues gave an Egyptian dance. The th ird cuiirt-e was served at the home of Mrs. Moses Thatcher in an Ireland setting. Two Irish dolls amid shamrock formed the centerpiece for tli u table. Green ribbons extended to each plate, tied to a kewpie aw a faor. An Iri&U skit followed the course. From here the gtiesi repaired to the home uf Mrs. John Christiansen Christian-sen and found themselves in Japan. Later on tea was ' served In Japanese fashion. As a climax to the evening's entertainment, America was represented rep-resented in pageant form, arranged by Mia, Carl Smart. A bowl of snapdragons formed the centerpiece for the table and also a corsage bouquet at each plate as a fav6r. Covers were laid for sixteen. Mrs. A. E. Anderson entertained at a shower Tliursday evening of last week in compliment to Miss Ella Itigby, a bride of this week. The rooms were decorated with an abundance of fall flowers. Games and music comprised the entertainment. Refreshments were served. About forty -five guests were in attendance. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts. Miss Eva Jay Nelson entertained at two tables of "600" Tuesday evening at her apartment. apart-ment. Red geranium blossoms were used about the rooms. Two prizes were awarded for high and low score. At the conclusion of the games refreshments were served. Eight guests were in attendance. The Sigma Theta Phi gave a dancing party Friday evening- at the Bluebird hall for the "Rti&hees." Around it twelve guests were seated. A nrogressive dinner pany wns given Wednesday by the Sorosls Alumni and the active ac-tive members for the "Rushees." The guests were divided into two groups and were entertained enter-tained in the homes of the following: MrB. George Caine, Mrs. John T. Caine, Jr., Mrs. D. E. Robinson, Miss Battle Smith, Mrs. Ellen , Eccles, with Mrs. S. J. Quinney as hostess; Mrs. J. E. Shepard, Miss Claire Cardon, Mrs. L. D. Naisbitt and Mrs. Poy Bullen. At each home the tables were decorated with autumn leaves and Black-eyed Susans, the Mack and vellow carrying out the sorority colors. At the conclusion of the dinner the girls all gathered gath-ered at the chapter house. Later a dancing party was given at the Bluebird hall by the active members. The same decorations of autumn leaves and Black-eyed Susans were used in abundance about the hall. One hundred hun-dred and fifty guests were in attendance.
