D. S. U. gridders will not be satisfied with coming off as the cellar champions this year, and will do everything in their power to finish fin-ish mighty close to the top. Coach Tiilie Olson has certainly had his work cut out for him in trying to round up a bunch of huskies, who, previous to the starting of -football practices, this vear, really knew less about the game than the proverbial man in the moon. The team is now taking definite shape and form, and in the two or three practice games already played by the Saints, while they did not always come off with flying colors, still, their showing show-ing has "been very good, indeed, everything every-thing considered. So, while great deeds can hardlv be expected of the Gold and Blue players this year, it w-ill not be surprising if Tiilie manages to have a winning aggregation aggre-gation next year, or even the one following, fol-lowing, for he is busy laying the foundation founda-tion for jhst such a te'am at the present pres-ent time. |
