Show EDUCATOR ADDRESSES COUNTY FARM BUREAU PROVO, Oct .4. The Utah county farm bureau met in this city today with Professor Pro-fessor John T. Caine III of tho- Utah Agricultural college and discussed the outlook for feeding beef cattle, for mar--.y kct during the coming winter. Professor Calne addressed the members mem-bers of the bureau- and stated that the market was very uncertain, and advised those who had to buy hay and grain for their cattle not to take the chance of keeping them through the winter. He suggested. liowover, that where farmers have the cattle and plenty of hay, pulp and grain, together with fall field pasture, they' could probably feed with safety. Ho added that he believed the farmors would do well to carefully avoid any speculation in the livestock business at this time. The question of the action on the part of tho forestry department in withholding withhold-ing cattle from the forest ranges until June 1 came up for discussion, and Mr. Calne stated that he had tried to discourage dis-courage such a move, as he realized that it would tend to work a hardship on the cattlemen of the state, |
