Show AEOLIAN VOCALIGN PLEASES IN TEST Demonstration of two new high-grade high-grade music reproducing instruments, the Aeolian Vocalion and the Duo-Art piano, was given last Thursday afternoon after-noon in the demonstration hall of the Consolidated Music company, 13-19 East First South street. Charles Pike, well known musician and singer, officiated offi-ciated .and displayed the capacity of the instrument! before an audience of nr:e critics and a few invited guests. The Aeolian Vocalion, the most modern mod-ern of talking machines, plays all flat records except the Edison, with masterly mas-terly fidelity. It has a unique feature fea-ture known as the "Graduola," by which the volume of sound can be con-' trolled at the will of the operator, thus giving opportunity for unusually beautiful beau-tiful effects in pianissimo work. Numerous Nu-merous vocal and instrumental selections' selec-tions' from the classics were given in superb style. The Duo-Art piano, a new player-piano, player-piano, wa3 demonstrated by rendition of interpretations of classic' music as played by Schelling, Hoffman and other world-famed pianists. In phrasing, tempo and volume control it was excellent. |
