Show LABOR RECRUITING ORDERED STOPPEDj A message to officials in charge of the local bureau of the United States employment em-ployment service received late yesterday orders recruiting of labor for eastern points stopped. The message supplements telegrams received re-ceived Tuesday declaring that enlistment of men would be continued at present. They suggested, however, that curtailment curtail-ment orders might be expected before long. A crew of five men readied Salt Uake yesterday from Kansas City to take charge of recruiting labor for the Nitro Powder plant. This force is now awaiting await-ing final orders, Cither dispensing with its services or directing the men to report re-port at Nitro headquarters. It Is the intention to send 150 workers lo Nitro tonight, however, and this policy will be carried out unless instructions otherwise are received. |
