Show TWO MORE DEATHS IS TDLLAT OGDEHi School Superintendent Alleged Al-leged to Have Violated Health Board Order. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Nov. 13. Two deaths and 124 new . cases of the Spanish influenza was the report of the epidemic in Ogden today. to-day. Sanitary inspector George Shorten announced that the public schools will not be opened next Monday; regardless- of-statements of-statements to contrary. Mr. Shorten's attention' was culled to the fact that H. C. Johnson of the public schools had called meetings of teachers, contrary to the order of the state health board, which ordered that no meetings would be held. The inspector said the notices had been served upon Superintendent Johnson and the school board at the time the order was received and the schools were closed and that he did' not think it was1, necessary neces-sary to continue to serve the notice upon the school official. It was reported tonight that the matter mat-ter of the reported meetings of the school teachers would be brought to the attention of the city health authorities and then to the state board. The deaths reported today -were of Albert Al-bert Greenwell, 2i years of age, and Zelma Badger, 18 years of age. Miss Badger was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Badger and died early this morning. |
