Show CHIEF OF SURVEY VISITS SALT LAKE E W. Nelsorn, chief of the United States biological survey at Washington. D C, arrived in Salt Lake last night for the purpose of conferring wUh the Utah State livestock commission today. He is registered at the Hotel Utah and expects to leave for the east tonight. 'I came to Salt Lake," Mr. Nelson said, "for tho purpose of discussing with the livestock commission the most feasible methods whereby the federal government can co-oporate with the state authorities in the destruction of predatory animals. We nlso wish to take up the matter of annihilating the rodents which responsible re-sponsible for a great amount of damage to crops every year. The state of Utah has, I am told, appropriated a fund for these purposes, and the federal government govern-ment wishes to co-operato to attain the best results." |
