All of this ore came down from the South Hecla mine, which is located almost , ' in the heart of Alta and to which the Little Cottonwood company has built a hfl spur, direct to the 'property. So long hp weather conditions continue favorable, sa id Mr. Smith, the management of the 10J South Hecla expect to be In position to nJj furnish not less than 125 tons of ore per - day. It is a matter of history that when e the severe snows of winter fall, the Little fl Cottonwood road is out of commission for much of tho time, but so long as the ;t weather is fairly open and the storms do 'J not rage for days at a time, the road and I he mines of Alta are both in shape to maintain a splendid tonnage. |
