The baseball outlook for 1919 as viewed by the members of the National Association of Professional Profession-al Baseball leagues, In session herp, is extremely hazy. Intimations were given today by some of the members -that no concerted action concerning schedules would be taken by the association, but that each league would be lef t to settle its own difficulties. Accordingly, R. H. Baugh, president of the Southern league, announced that he would call a meeting of club owners of that circuit December ,15, at Birmingham. Five of the Western league cities are represented here, Oklahoma City, Omaha, St. Josph, Sioux City and Denver. Holland said today there are only two possible changes before the opening of the season. Hutchinson and Lincoln may be dropped. Joplin and Tulsa are the leading bidders for these places. |
