Show WILL ERECT WILSON STATUE IN LONDON LONDON, Nov. IS. The newly formed Anglo-American society, of which the Duke of connaught Is president, has decided de-cided to ask President Wilson to honor the society bv allowing It to erect his statue In London, simultaneously with the statues of Washington and Lincoln, which hove already been offered by the Cnlted States. The statue of the president presi-dent If erected, will be mado bv a distinguished dis-tinguished sculptor. The resolution passed by the society stated that the statue would be "memorial to President Presi-dent Wilson's distinguished service to humanity In the time nf the great war." Viscount James Bryce. former British ambassador of the United Slates, is deputy dep-uty president of the society, while Premier Pre-mier Llofd George, former Premier H. H. Asuuith and other men prominent In British Brit-ish public life are vice presidents. |
