Show EMBARGO TIEN FROM TIN FLUTE Restrictions Rescinded by War Industries Board on Several Commodities. WASHINGTON, Nov. 13. Several more industrial restrictions imposed to meet the demands of war are rescinded by a series of orders issued today by the war industries board. By agreement with the food administration, administra-tion, the war industries board removed all restrictions placed on the use of tin j plate in the manufacture of tin containers, contain-ers, thereby permitting' manufacturers of many products such as baking powder, cocoa, coffee, tea and condensed ,milk to substitute the former types of tin containers con-tainers for those of paper now being used. Approval of the war industries hoard to the sale for road purposes of asphalt, road binders, road oils, tar binders, and dressings, was announced by Fuel Administrator Ad-ministrator Garfield. Restrictions soon to be made effective on the manufacture of oil stoves and of packing for hoisery, underwear and knitted goods were removed. Orders curtailing cur-tailing the production of soft drinks and I mineral waters also were rescinded by the war Industries board, but it was pointed out that food administration regulations regu-lations limiting the amount of sugar allowed al-lowed soft drink manufacturers are not modified. Deferred building projects amounting to more than twenty million dollars, it was estimated today, wero released by the removal re-moval yesterday of restrictions on non-war non-war building. |
