Show VICTIM OF AUTO IN SERIOUS CONDITION No improvement in the condition of Miss Bessie Harris, of Bountiful, who was struck by an automobile during the peace festivities Monday night, was reported re-ported hy attendants at the L. D. S. hospital hos-pital late last night, and fears are again expressed that her injuries may prove fatal. Her sister, Miss Mae Harris, was reported to be on the road to recovery. The voting ladles, together with Miss Laura and Viola Crockett, of Bountiful, were knocked down hy an automobile, said to have been driven by Edwin Brooks, 1605 Lake street, on First South street, near West Temple Monday evening. Brooks was arrested and later released op $1000 bond, on the order of Justice of the Peace Honrv C. Lund, after it appeared ap-peared that his wife and child wire critically 111 with influenza. No formal complaint will be filed against Brooks, the officers say. until the outcome of Miss Harris' Injuries Is known. |
