The members of the committee admitted admit-ted that tiiev did not see Jtist where the money is ebminpr from, but would approve ap-prove the bill and take chances upon the nionev belns produced. Senator W. W. Armstronp. chairman of tho committee, presented a proposed bill for a bond issue by the state to provide buiidinqs for the various state educational education-al institutions, but the committee decided decid-ed it would rot be wise to present the bill and it was laid aside. It provided for a bond issue in tho sum of $125,000. A proposition to abandon tile state fair for two years to save $30,000 to apply oil tiie Osden celebration was discussed, hut no final action was taken. |
