Buying began early yesterday, and by night many of the dealers reported heavy sales. Many of the purchasers had devoted the opening day to picking out the models they would like to possess. pos-sess. Yesterday they studied the models mod-els keenly both from the, mechanical standpoint as well as from the general appearance viewpoint, and by evening were ready to close the contracts. In short, t hey showed unusual interest in the exhibit, and made the exhibitors feel more than ever that the show was a huge success. Management Praised. The unusual attractiveness of the entire en-tire exhibition continued to appeal to every visitor, and surprised comments for the beauty and manner in which i the show had been arranged were fol-: lowed by compliments on all sides to the show management. Enthusiasm over the success of the show has got the upper hand with the hundreds of visiting dealers, and not a few of them admitted that they had not waited to tell the great news in neir respective territories, but had "wired the success beforehand. This recognition and enthusiasm dis- played by representatives of the auro-mobile auro-mobile industry from throughout the Nst makes evident the fact that they are solidly united in the support of Salt Lake as the great distributing center of the Rocky mountain country. Many Models Shown. Models of every class of pleasure cars are on display, as well as several trucks, stripped chassis and accessories. Some of the dealers are making a specialty spe-cialty in exhibiting only one or two types of machines, but the greater number are showing various styles. One of the popular exhibits yesterday yester-day at the auto snow was the lug M:ir-nion M:ir-nion model that is being displayed by the V. K. hovering company, distributors, distribu-tors, in place of the new model, which failed to arrive for show time owing to the railroad tie-up in the east. The car, which has been driven lO.nnti miles through the roughest of western territory, terri-tory, shows but little effects of the strenuous runs on the exterior. As far as the mechanism is concerned, the machine ma-chine is now as good as new, the exhibitors ex-hibitors say. Not only is the exhibit of the Stut7. car drawing much attention at. lhe auto show, but the exhibit of a roadster, in flaming red colors, which is displayed dis-played in tlie windows of Walker Broth- I ers ' store, is also the cause of much favorable comment from auto fans. Sales of the tStutz car at the shore- are record-breaking. The long gr1 model is at all times the center ot attraction at-traction of a crowd of visitors and the salesmen are kept busv explaining the merits of the car which has made such a name for itself in the racing game.
