TREATING CLAUSE IS TAKEN FROM BILL A report recommending that section 2$ of the corrupt practices act of the senate be stricken out was submitted to the house yesterday by the special committee commit-tee to "which "was referred the bill for amendment a few days ago. This section prohibits a candidate from treating a friend to luncheon or inviting friends to dinner. The report of the committee was adopted adopt-ed and the bill was placed on the calendar calen-dar for consideration in its regular or-i or-i der.
