Show CHURCH LEAGUE TO PLAY GAMES TONIGHT The fourth series in the Affiliated Church Basketball league -will take place this evening in the Public Safety building build-ing gymnasium. The Phillips Congregational Congrega-tional quint will clash In the first contest con-test with St. Mary's Catholic cathedral, while the Burlington Baptist and Central Christian teams ill furnish the other game. The first affair will start promptly prompt-ly at 7:30. The Phillips team took the lead In the leagrue by deefating the Central Christians Chris-tians last Thursday. The Catholics captured cap-tured their first contest last Thursday and are now going strong. Tommy FUz-patrick FUz-patrick showed up well in the Catholics' lineup In his first attempt and added the needed strength in the guarding depart- ; ment. The game between these two fives I tonight should be a corker and both teams j are confident of victory. The Central Christians -will probably I have no trouble in winninc from the Bur-lingtons. Bur-lingtons. The latter squad has met with several mishaps since the opening of the j league and are weakened considerably. The Christians have been putting in some solid practice and expect to regain their lost laurels. i The junior teams of the Philipps Congregational Con-gregational and First Presbyterian churches will clash. The time of this game has not been decided but they will probably contest before the first game. |
