Show PRESTON, IDAHO PRESTON, Idaho, Sept. 2. Mr. and Mrs S T. Jepson of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. ? J. Jepson of Lognn were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Thorpe of this city Saturday. Mr and Mrs. L. M. Edison spent the fore part of the week at Logan, Utah, with friends. Mrs. G. T. Parkinson spent Friday at Lewiston, "Utah, -the guest of Mrs. W. B. Parkinson. Friday evening an open-air dance was given in Franklin. Mrs. T. C. Hanin, Mrs. Robert Holt. Mrs. R. R. Gayman and Mrs. States of Preston were in attendance. at-tendance. The Misses Viola and Erma Blood entertained en-tertained their little friends, numbering ten. Wednesday afternoon. Games were played, after which luncheon was served. Mrs. Jennie Holt's elocution class gave an entertainment at the Zeus theater Friday evening. Mrs. G. W. States entertaled at bridge Friday afternoon for Mrs. G. H. Blood. Mrs. R. Holt, Mrs. T. C. Hamn, Mrs. R. Gayman, Mrs. F. H. Depuy, Mrs. William Lohman and Mrs. Frank Foss. The Charitable swarm of the First ward Beehive girls met at Mrs. Emma Merrill's Tuesday evening. Luncheon was served. Miss Esther Danielson of Lewiston, Utah, is visiting with the Misses Ange-line Ange-line and Anna Porter. Mrs. Clara Odd of Farmington, Utah, who was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Wilkinson, has returned to her home. Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Edison left Saturday evening for Ogden to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomas. The Loyally swarm of the Fourth ward Beehive girls met at the home of Mrs. Amos Belnnp "Wednesday. Refreshments were served. Mrs. E. A. Crockett and Miss Hattle Peterson are spending a couple of weeks at Dempsey Hot Springs. Dr. and Mrs. W. B. Parkinson of Lewiston, Utah, spent Saturday with -relatives and friends in this city. Wednesday evening a surprise party was tendered Miss Mabel Carpenter by a number of her friends. After parading .the, streets in automobiles and attend-'ing'a attend-'ing'a picturo show, they returned to the home of Miss Carpenter, where refreshments refresh-ments were served. The Campflre circle No. 789 of the W. O. W. entertained the members of camp No. 327 and their wives and a number or invited guests Tuesday evening at the W. O. W. hall. Mrs. G. W. States was hostess Thursday Thurs-day afternoon to the members of the Golden Hour club. At 7 o'clock a dainty luncheon was served on small tables.
