Show OPENING NEW BODY OF ORE IN CARDIFF A new body of lead-silver ore has heen encountered in the Cardiff mine, 220 feet in on tho west drift, which is being driven 2tJno feet from the mouth of the tunnel. Andrew Hurley, superintendent of the mine, wiio came down Friday and left yesterday afternoon for the property, said at noon yesterday that the strike showed a body of lead-silver carbonate, with some sulphides, largely similar to the big body from which the mine is now taking about 150 tons per day. Until further exploration, he was unwilling un-willing to venture nn expert . opinion as to the extent of this ore body, but admitted ad-mitted that it looked "like a big thing." |
