Show ! SPORTS TOMSil AT LIBERTY Pll! Races and Various Other Contests Arranged by Labor Unions. Labor day this yearjill be celebrated by the unions at Liberty park. A huge barbecue and corn bake will be on the programme. Ten thousand sandwiches and 5000 ears of com will he given away. Among the sport events of the day wtil be a ball game between the Federation . of Labor and the Building Trades . council. Sixteen teams are entered in the hot rivet-throwing contest by the Bridge and Structural Ironworkers' union. , The line- I men are arranging a pole-climbing con- ' test and there will be races of all kinds ' business agents' race, free-for-all race,"! egg. potato and sack races, as well as all ; sorts of races for the women and children.
