Show SAYS UTAH COUNTY WILL BOTBLOI Milo Packard of Springville Declares That Democrats Have No Chance. With a strictly prohibition ticket in the field Utah county will be Republican Republic-an by a large majority at the November Novem-ber election, according to Milo Packard Pack-ard of Springville, a member of the Republican Re-publican finance committee. Mr. Packard Pack-ard came to Salt Lake yesterday afternoon after-noon to confer with State Chairman Glen Miller with reference to conditions in Utah county. "There isn't a chance, in my estimation, esti-mation, for tho Democrats to carry Utah ! county under present Conditions," Mr.1 Packard declared. ' ' The people there are well pleased with tho state ticket and there is every indication that the county ticket will be equally strong. The Republican platform and the talks made in Utah by Governor Hughes have stiffened the backs of ail tho 'stalwarts of the party in Utah county and landed many doubtful ones in the ranks." With the exception of the visit of Mr. Packard things were comparatively quiet at Republican state headquarters. Many of the candidates and party workers are out in the state lining and assisting in lining up the county organizations. or-ganizations. Mr. Miller took advantage of the peacefulness of the office to make a trip to Ogden in the interest of the party, and Secretary Charles M. Morris went to Tooele. The women 's Republican state committee, com-mittee, after a meeting of the executive execu-tive committee yesterday morning, decided de-cided not to open headquarters on the mezzanine floor of the Hotel Utah until the first of the week.
