Show STENGER RETURNS TO UNION PACIFIC Well-known Official, ronnerly of Salt Lake, Is Made General Superintendent. -E. Stenor, formerly general superintendent superin-tendent ot the Utah lines of the Denver & Eio Grande, with headquarters in Salt Lake, was yesterday appointed general superintendent of the Union Pacilie, to succeed William Jeffcrs, recently re-cently elevated to the position of general gen-eral manager of the same road. The appointment of Mr. Stenger was authorized by E. E. Calvin, presidentelect president-elect of the Union Pacific, several days ago, and the appointment went into I effect yesterday, according to a telegram tele-gram received by Mr. Calvin last night. Mr. Stenger came to the Denver & Rio Grande from the engineering department de-partment of the Union Pacific about ten years ago. He served as general superintendent of the Utah lines of the Denver & Rio Grande until February, 1908, when he resigned to accept service ser-vice with a big mining concern in Mexico. Mexi-co. Later he returned to the United States and became general manager of the St. Joseph & Grand Island railroad, the position he relinquished to again take service with tue Union Pacific as general superintendent. |
