McCann, secretary of the Salt Lake aerie, No. 67, Fraternal Order of Eagles, returned yesterday from Poca-tello, Poca-tello, where he attended tho convention conven-tion of the iutermouniaiu district aerie of the order. The intermountain district dis-trict includes the states of Utah and Idaho. Mr. McCann was honored by being chosen as secretary of the intermountain intermoun-tain district aerie. Other Utahns who were likewise honored were Fred Peters Pe-ters of Murray, who was chosen inner guard; Krnest Sperger of Bingham, who was chosen ns a trustee, and Max Davidson David-son of Ogden, who was chosen as representative rep-resentative to the grand aerie convention, conven-tion, which will be held iu Savannah, Ga. Utah was further honored by the selection se-lection of Ogden as the next meeting place. Other officers chosen at the meeting were as follows: William A. Peters, president. Jerome, Ida.; Joseph La Cha-pclle, Cha-pclle, vice president, Idaho Falls. Ida.; Thomas Trat hen, treasurer, Mountain Home, Ida.; Paul Smith, conductor, Idaho Ida-ho Falls, Ida.; William McClurg, outer guard, Ma lad, Ida. : trustees, Lamest Sperger, Bingham Canyon, Utah, and Dr. K. Hennerger. Jerome," Ida. Mr. McCann says that the delegates, about IdO in number, Hvcre royally entertained en-tertained by the Eagles and other residents resi-dents of Pocatello. In a parade Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon the Ogden drill team covered itself with glory and was given great applause. The gathering closed with a banquet, which was largely attended and greatly enjoyed. Another feature of the gathering was the dedication of the Pocatello aerie 's new home, which is one of tho handsomest hand-somest and most commodious in either Utah or Idaho. |
