Show PAVING ON STATE MAY BE DEFERRED Commissioner Scheid Holds Suspicion the Objection to Material Is Due to Some Contractor. Possibility that the paving improvements improve-ments designed for State street from North Temple street to Second North street and Second North street to West Canyon street will not be made this year was reflected at yesterday mora-rng's mora-rng's meeting of the city commission. Discussion of the protest filed by owners own-ers of abutting properties against pavement pave-ment with bituminous concrete resulted in the referring of the- matter back again to the committee of the whole. Commissioner Karl A. Scheid expressed ex-pressed suspicion that the protest hal been fostered by some contractor, and said that he resented the idea of such possibility. The discussion brought out the fact that the commissiou might consider con-sider the advisability of eliminating the district from the plan of improvements, improve-ments, sir.ee so much argument was being be-ing occasioned as to material to be used and since the .funds for improvements improve-ments are already showing the drain of an extensive improvement campaign, i |
