Show I OLD FOLKS' OUTING TO BE BIG AFFAIR , Residents of Northern Utah. Will Join Those From as Far South as -Payson in Salt Lake. SpeciaJ to The Tribune. OGDEN, June 22. Cancelling all Elans that were made lor an outing at agoon on June 29, the general committee commit-tee in chiirge of the old folks' outing for Weber county has accepted the invitation in-vitation of the Salt Lake City committee commit-tee to participate in the state outing there on June 27. Announcement to this effect was made public by the local committee today and instructions are to be issued to the ward committees of the three local stakes to govern themselves accordingly. The Salt Lake celebration is being arranged to include all old folks residiug from Brighara City to Pavson. According to the new plans announced today all persons 70 years of age or older residing in the city wards of the Weber stake and in all wards of the Ogden and North Weber stakes are to meet at the union station in this city at 9 o'clock on the morning of June 27 to board a special Oregon Short Line train leaving, for Salt Lake at 9:0 a. m. Those residing in the Riverdale, South Weber and Uintah wards are to board at the Orchard station the Bamberger electric train leaving Ogden at 9 a. m. Those living in the Hooper, Roy, Clinton Clin-ton and Kanesville districts are to. board the same electric train at Clinton. Clin-ton. Those acting as attendants to the old folks will be accorded the privileges of the excursion rates over both roads, when provided with the official attendants' attend-ants' badge. Under the new arrangement arrange-ment it will not be necessary . for the ward committees' to furnish any kind of refreshments. An extensive programme has been arranged for the entertainment of the visitors in Salt Lake. The state industrial school band will accompany the Ogden delegation to Salt Lake. |
