Show SURVEYOR GENERAL GETS MORE MONEY T. C. Thoresen, surveyor general, yesterday yes-terday received notice of the appropriations appropria-tions made for his office for the fiscal year, -which begins Julv 1. The total appropriation will be $21,240. Of this amount $20,240 will be paid in salaries, the remainder being the contingent fund. This is an Increase of S1240 over the appropriation ap-propriation for last j-ear. The surveyor general also received notification noti-fication yesterday of changes in tiie boundary of the Dixie national forest which will throw a considerable amount of land open to settlement in the near future. "Pho changes call for the exclusion ex-clusion from the forest of certain lands in Arizona, in the Mount Trumbull district dis-trict and the Parashont district. Additions Addi-tions to the Dixie forest are made in the same order by transferring some lands formerly in the Moapa division of the Toiyake national forest in Nevada. Announcement of the date on which the released lands will be thrown open for settlement will be made later. |
