Show A PRETTILY arranged tea was Riven yesterday afternoon by Miss Virginia Whitney at the home of her aunt, Mrs. A. K. Tiernan. on East South Temple strict, in honor of Miss Mary Jennings, a bride of the early summer, and Mies Knninie Calvin, whose engagement was recently announced. The tea table had a crystal basket of pink snapdragons as a centerpiece. Pink roses were ued in the reception room and about the house. In the receiving line with the hostess and guests of honor was Mrs. Tiernan. Presiding at the tea table were Mrs. R-K. R-K. Peaie, Mrs. Walter P. Jennings, Mrs. K. E. Calvin and Mrs. George T. Badger. Assisting in serving were Miss Helen Kearns, Miss Olive Wall. Miss Phoebe Dey, Miss Marjorie Howard. Mrs. George K. Lawrence, Miss Marjorie Bidwell, Miss Dorothy Jennings and Miss Dorothy "White. A garden wedding, with growing vines an1 flowers as decorations, was that of Miss Flora Hamilton and Charles Kd-w.'ird Kd-w.'ird Ohaiin, which, took place at noon K Terdav at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller on East First South r street. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. A. Simpkin. Lee Charles Miller gave the bride aw;iv. An informal reception followed the wedding wed-ding and a wedding breakfast was served later at the Newhouse hotel for the bridal party. The Lambert orchestra furnished rn usic. The bride wore a traveling suit of dark bine, trimmed in black and white, with white hat and gloves. She carried bride roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Margaret Clark, wore pink and white silk, witl a rojuage bouquet of pink sweet peas. Six yt' ing women in lingerie frocks acted as ushers and assisted in receiving the guests. They were Mif-s Anna Nordquist, Miss Sara Ohaffin, Miss Jasmine Smith, Miss Lenora Smith, Mrs. Oliver Goodwin and Miss Zola Bagley. Following the reception at the Miller home, the guests were invited to the Hamilton home, two doors away, to inspect in-spect the wedding gifts. Mrs. W. C , lyockington. Mrs. Freeman Cates and Mrs. Mitttie McKay were in charge of the gift room. The Hamilton home was attractively attrac-tively decorated in garden roses. Mrs. ' Oliver Goodwin sang a group of songs and j Miss Jasmine Smith gave piano selec- ' tions. I The couple left at 5 o'clock for California Califor-nia to spend some time at Venice and other coast resorts. They will make their home for the present at Superior, Ariz. An impressive church wedding was that of Miss Edyth Mabel Hill and Stephen Turner Carmen, which took: place at tiie Phillips Congregational church at noon stei'day. The ceremony was performed I; (he Rev. p. A. Simpkin. The bride wore a white Georgette crepe gown, with a veil caught with orange blossoms, and carried' bride roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Delphia Stewart, wore white embroidered voile and carried pink roses. Leonard Carmen, brother of t lie bridegroom, was best man. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Dora C. Hill, 422 Second East street, immediately fullqwing the ceremony at the church. The couple left early in the afternoon for Too-tole. Too-tole. Utan' 10 make their home. The Glide's going-away gown was of dark blue taffeta, with a wiiite hai. Banner review, Maccabees, entertained with a card party and musifale yesterday yester-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. Charles Livingston. Jr., on Ninth East street, in compliment to Miss Maud Bain, who will leave soon for Los Angeles to make her home. Tea was served following the card games and the musical programme. The tea tabla was decorated in crimson ram-blnr ram-blnr roses, in a brass basket, with a bow of red and black tulle tied on the handle, carrying out, in connection with the table appointments, the colors of the order, red. black and white. June roses were used throughout the house. Mrs. Livingston sang a group of songs. !o.ln and piano selections were given hv the Misses Trvine. Mrs. Nathan Offer Hang and Miss Bonnie Smith gave both vocal and piano numbers. About sixty were in attendance. Miss Lillian Hendrick-son Hendrick-son of Park City was a guest, in addition to the club members and guest of honor.
