Show PORTLAND II LAST WHS A BALL GAME Beavers Beat Seals After Losing Five Straight to League Leaders. Special to The Tribune. PORTLAND. Ore., Sept. Ii5. The Seals can be licked. Not very often, perhaps, but nevertheless they can be linked. The Beavers did it today. The fans were beginning to think the Seals were unliekable. Fie on the tans for the faintheartedness! The score was I I to 0, ami Skecter Fanning, the Hekee. There is no question that the Seals and Skeeter were pretty well mauled. Johnny hush mauled the Seals, and his gan mauled Skeeter, so there you have it In a nutshell. But hold! Wc had almost forgotten in our exulting that the Seals had pro- I viously licked the Beavers. We'd rather I forget, but there are the eold figures I st:uing us in the face, 10 to 3. liow- ever, the Beavers are used to being licked, tin. I they don't mind it much. It was their fifth licking of the week. Therefore why not exult a little when the tables are turned. Johnny Lush let the Seals down with four hits, and hits mates made only one error, which, strange to relate, didu !t result, in a run. In the ordinary run of things a big crowd should be out tomorrow. William fiteen pitched against his ex-team ex-team mates in the first contest, while Evans, Kahler and Higginbotham were on the mound for the Beavers. Fvaus was nicked for two runs in the first in-niug, in-niug, and for a trio of tallies in the fourth.
